“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
There’s something powerful about partnership in ministry. When Brandywine Church from Delaware visited EQ this summer, their presence brought more than manpower — it brought joy, encouragement, and renewed unity in Christ .
Their team worshiped alongside local believers, introducing a shorter, joy-filled Sunday service that reminded the local church that God values sincerity over length. For the Peruvian congregations accustomed to three- or four-hour gatherings, it was a refreshing reminder that heartfelt worship, not long agendas, touches heaven.
Then came the soccer fields — where cultural lines disappeared entirely. Brandywine’s young adults laced up their cleats and joined Quechua FC players in the hot sun, training, laughing, and competing together. They ended each practice with devotionals, personal testimonies, and prayer circles — simple moments that made a deep impact
When it was time to help at the cacao farm, they rolled up their sleeves again. The fence surrounding the property had been damaged, leaving crops vulnerable to theft. Without hesitation, they funded the repair and joined local volunteers to rebuild it, sweating side by side under the Amazonian sun. The work wasn’t finished when they left, but their effort sparked momentum that continues today.
That fence now stands as a symbol — of stewardship, of partnership, and of the unity between believers separated by language but united by love.
Reflection:
Ministry isn’t a solo race; it’s a relay. Every handoff, every act of encouragement, every shared burden strengthens the body of Christ. God’s design for His Church is togetherness — because two are always better than one.
Pray With Us:
Pray for every partner church and mission team that serves alongside Empowering Quechuas. Ask God to bless their generosity, renew their strength, and expand the reach of His love through unity.
